Personalized Judaica: Italian Sink

The Italian Sink began as a request from a foreign customer over WhatsApp. This customer had recently traveled to Italy, and he sent me a photo of a ceramic bathroom sink and mirror that he’d seen there. Could I recreate this item for him in sterling silver? I told him I could, and I got to work.
After he approved my drawings and sketches of the proposed product, I crafted the silver sink for him and his wife to enjoy. The customer was deeply satisfied with this replica of the Italian ceramic sink – upgraded to beautiful sterling silver.

Wine Fountain and Shabbat Candlesticks, in Cream

I had a customer from Europe visit my store who took a liking to a wine decanter that featured a vibrant green malachite stone. However, he faced a dilemma. Having recently completed renovations on his home, he let me know that all his furnishings were made in a cream hue, and the green stone of the product he loved clashed with his new interior aesthetic. Despite this, he remained keen on making a purchase but hoped I use my skills to create something more tailored to his needs. Specifically, he expressed interest in acquiring a wine fountain and a pair of candlesticks for his Shabbat table, but in a cream color that would complement his home furnishings.

To fulfill his request, I simply asked that he take photos of his home and send them my way. Using those images as reference, I was able to pinpoint a stone that perfectly matched his home's color scheme, swapping out the green one for a cream hue. Now, the wine fountain and Shabbat candlesticks he ordered fit right in with the rest of his home decor!

The Yemeni Etrog

A client visited us recently, asking for a special request. As Sukkot approached, he expressed his wish for an unusually large Etrog, the citrus fruit central to the festival's traditions. But he didn't just want any Etrog; he also asked for a bespoke box to house it in. He was specific in his request: the box had to be made from sterling silver, intricately adorned with traditional Yemeni filigree work, and accented with semi-precious stones.
Eager to take on such a fascinating challenge, I got to work right away. The end result was truly a sight to behold a piece notable not just for its impressive size, but for its stunning beauty as well. The photos here do a great job of showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail that went into this remarkable creation.
